SERVICE

  • I have the right to refuse a commission for any reason.

  • Commissioned works may be uploaded to social medias or displayed in my portfolio unless otherwise discussed.

  • Work in progress shots will be provided at request. Otherwise, they will be provided at the end of the sketch, lineart, and coloring phases (where applicable) for customer feedback.

  • Edits may be asked for when work in progress shots are sent, but you are limited to three large edits before the commission is subject to additional fees.

  • In cases of experimental pieces, work in progress shots will be provided only upon request, and the artist reserves the right to not take requests for edits. This is in accordance to the description of the commission tier.

  • I may use stock images/free-to-use images as background elements for certain pieces- if you are uncomfortable with this, please let me know immediately. I will be sure to let you know whether I use these images in my pieces in the first place.

  • Reduced rates are offered for multiple characters in an image. These characters must be in the same space with some level of interaction/acknowledgment. These rates are intended for couples/family/pet pieces and others of similar concept.

BUYER GUIDELINES

  • You must be either over 18 years of age or buying with the assistance of someone over 18 years of age.

  • Do not claim my art as your own.

  • You may not edit my artwork without my express (written) permission.

  • Unless otherwise discussed, you may only use my art for personal, non-commercial use (for commercial inquiries, see the commercial use policy below.)

  • If you choose to commission me for characters you do not own (defined as characters belonging to other people), you are liable for any negative reactions.

  • You may post finished artwork anywhere online, provided credit is included by form of my username (TheBrightestEyes) or a link back to one of my pages.

PAYMENT/REFUND POLICY

  • Payment will be done through Paypal Invoices only for recordkeeping purposes. After a price is agreed upon, an invoice will be sent within the next business day.

  • Unless otherwise discussed, if an invoice is not paid within a week/7 days, it will be assumed that you no longer want the commission and the invoice will be cancelled.

  • For commissions exceeding $20, half of the commission's price must be paid upfront.

  • Commissions $20 or under must be paid for upfront.

  • Work will not begin until the commission is paid for according to the above conditions.

  • If the work hasn't yet been started and I am unable to complete your commission for any reason, you will be given a full refund.

  • If the commission has already reached the linework phase or equivalent and I am unable to complete your commission, you will be given a partial refund.

  • Refunds may be requested at the buyer's discretion following the above guidelines.

COMMERCIAL USE POLICY

  • You must be over 18 years of age in order to commission art for commercial use.

  • While my prices are a flat rate for pieces meant for personal use, pieces for commercial use will be subject to a +100% fee. For example, a piece quoted at $50 for personal use would be $100 for commercial use.

  • In addition, pieces commissioned for commercial use are still subject to all posted buyer guidelines, unless those guidelines are contradicted by the commercial use policy.

  • My artwork may not be used for cryptocurrency, NFTs, or AI training, regardless of whether commercial use has been paid for or not.

  • Most animals (including anthropomorphic animals)

  • Blood/gore [18+ ONLY]

ORDERING PROCESS

To order a commission, you must either contact me on Discord or via my professional email.In your message, include a description of what you would like, including clear references for the subject(s) you would like drawn, your Paypal email, and any additional references that would be helpful in executing your vision (such as pose references, preferred color palettes, etc).In the event that your references are traditional or photo-based, please be available to work with me so the colors of the piece are to your liking.Once I've received your initial message, I'll quote a final price, and once confirmation is received you will be sent an invoice to the provided email (as well as a timeline for completion, depending on the commission and circumstances).

I offer custom character design work not as its own tier, but as an upcharge on top of the cost of one of the above listed tiers. For example, if you were to want a sketched character design concept based off of a moodboard or text description, that would be be an additional charge on top of the price of a sketched fullbody.A single character custom design, regardless of style, will usually include a fullbody and a complimentary bust shot for the purposes of character exploration (whether it be expressions, hair details, etc).Additional drawings aside from the bust shot are subject to their own upcharge. Uncolored character design orders may receive discounts at artist's discretion.

SIMPLE ANIMATION

Closed, pending examples.Max of 10-16 frames. Flat rate of $105/day per project. Intended for simple gif animations, but other simple forms of animation (e.g. digital flipnote-style animations) can be discussed.Timelines for animation projects may be much longer than for non-animation projects.Smaller animations with less detail may be subject to discounts, just as animations with more complex details may be subject to additional charges. Expectations and estimates will be discussed during the ordering process.

EXPERIMENTAL

PWYW - MIN $15.00 USD

Experimental pieces are on a pay what you want system with a $15 minimum- if you're ordering an experimental piece, you're throwing a character/subject to draw at me, telling me what you explicitly don't want done, and then giving me full creative freedom over the outcome.Be aware that the quality and style of these can vary, thus the pricing model!I try my best to make sure all my paid work looks good, but in asking for something experimental you're accepting that you may receive something potentially inconsistent with my previous work.In choosing this option, you are willingly sacrificing control over the outcome and style of the piece in exchange for a lower price point. In other words, you are agreeing that I may use your piece to potentially practice new techniques I'm not quite confident in.This is an absurdly cheap option for my current prices, and kept as such because I want to have a more affordable option for whoever might want it. As such, this option might not always be open to order at the same time as other tiers.
